Employee Wellbeing Clubs

Workplace wellbeing initiatives have been shown to give an average of 3:1 return on investment reducing staff turnover and sickness, increasing productivity and performance, and contributing to a healthier bottom line. At the Aldgate Connect BID, we have worked with the community in Aldgate to develop two wellbeing clubs – The Aldgate Gardening Club and The Wellbeing and Mindfullness Craft Club.

The Aldgate Gardening Club started in July 2017 and has included monthly lunchtime sessions where the community is able to come together and make something green-fingered to take back to their home or desk.

The Wellbeing and Mindfulness Craft Club is an ongoing exciting initiative and a collaboration between the Aldgate Connect BID and Sandra, our Master Crafter. Sandra is a local employee and volunteer, who enjoys crafting and wants to share her passion with the rest of the community. Please see links below for more information.

Craft Club Toolkit

These sessions have been set up as part of our Wellbeing agenda. Stress has accounted for 45% of all working days lost in 2016. In our global city, we need to take time for ourselves and how better to do that than with crafts and nature. Come as part of a group or on your own, everyone is welcome. The Aldgate Connect BID is offering this FREE of charge to make Aldgate a better place to be and work.
